The U.S. Department of Agriculture has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
1. SCOPE.
1.1 This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers pitted red maraschino cherries without stems, packed in commercially acceptable containers, suitable for use by Federal, State, and local governments and other interested parties.
2. CLASSIFICATION.
2.1 Container size for the pitted red maraschino cherries shall be of the following container sizes as specified in the solicitation, contract, or purchase order.
Container sizes.
Container size I -453.6 g (16 ounces) net weight
Container size II -3,785.4 mL (128 fluid ounces)
Container size III – Other
